I BELIEVE

I BELIEVE that every person has the right and responsibility to learn as much as they can about as much as they can. Knowledge is the antidote to fear and ignorance

I BELIEVE that people should be judged only on the basis of their character, morals and values, regardless of any other characteristics.

I BELIEVE that every person’s life has value. No matter who they are, no matter what they have done, no matter how “different” or “strange” they are, no exceptions.

I BELIEVE that communication is as basic a right as breathing. No matter the communication method, no matter if it is a “high tech” or a “low tech” method, every person has the right to communicate with others using the method or methods of their choosing.
(Note: I fully support the communication bill of rights. (Updated: 27-DEC-21 – new URL))

I BELIEVE that everyone has valuable talents and skills, and, it is the responsibility of everyone to use those talents and skills to benefit other people and society as a whole.

I BELIEVE that every job is worthy of respect. Children (and adults!) should be taught to hold the company janitor to the same respect as the CEO.

I BELIEVE that – to the extent it does not harm others – every person has the right to learn about, join, participate in, and leave any religion they wish, or to not participate in any religion if they choose.

I BELIEVE that every person has the right to express their opinion, and to advocate for their position, and to listen to or not listen to, and to agree with, or disagree with other people’s opinions, however, this does not mean that people should be free from the ramifications of the statements they make regarding their opinions.
